OVERVIEW
Tom Gravely (Tom gallello)
is an avant-garde rock artist whose music blends raw emotion, experimental soundscapes, and unfiltered storytelling. His work is a reflection of personal turmoil and artistic evolution, shifting from chaotic and disjointed to electronic and surreal.
It all began in December 2010, during a turning point in his life. Feeling lost and disconnected, he recorded his debut album, Ascaris, in a single night—fueled by an XL bottle of Yellowtail wine and sheer instinct. Named after a parasite—and a play on his own scars—Ascaris is a lo-fi outpouring of pain and catharsis. Originally released as handmade CDRs, it has since gained a cult following, with Silicate and Entity becoming live staples for his band Dumb Echo still performed to this day.
His follow-up, Dress Me In Your Dressings, took an unexpected turn—an absurd, electronic-infused celebration of the weird. Then came St. Stolas, a double-length odyssey that fused the unhinged aggression of Ascaris with Dressings’ surrealism, exploring themes of abandonment, promiscuity, and hope.
His fourth studio album, Doomed To care is a deeply personal EXPERIENCE. inspired by the many years he spent as a full time caregiver for the two people who meant the most to him in life, his PATERNAL grandparents that raised him from a young age. doomed to care is a sonic melange of all the things that make tom gravely stand out as an artist yet with a maturity and emotional depth which could only come from SACRIFICE.
From burned CDRs to streaming platforms, from reckless nights to refined vision, Tom Gravely continues to create music that is visceral, honest, and wholly his own.
